In charge of the firm’s Norwich office, Ms. Hanney’s ability as a family lawyer was recognized in early 2009, when she was the only family lawyer outside Fairfield County named as a “Rising Star Super Lawyer” in Connecticut Magazine.
Born in New London in 1975, Ms. Hanney is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross (1997) and Fordham University Law School (2000), where she was on a law journal. Prior to joining the group in 2006, Ms. Hanney practiced for four years with a matrimonial and litigation firm in New London. In addition to the bars of Connecticut and New York, she practices before the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Court, serves as a special master in the New London Family Court, and has been a speaker on family law for the Connecticut Bar Association and the National Business Institute.
Ms. Hanney resides in Salem with her husband, a special education teacher, and their two children.
